Bread

To any of you who know Jon, you know that he LOVES bread. My Mom has to make an extra 6 rolls for Sunday dinner just for him. His favorite is homemade bread. Well for Christmas his parents were kind enough to give us a wheat grinder (we have like 12 buckets of wheat that we were afraid we would have to use two rocks to grind it if there was an emergency) I went to a Relief Society class on bread making and my Mom showed me how also- so this was my first attempt... Beautiful!

So I thought...this was the first time I pulled it from the oven-it wasn't done in the center so back in the oven the loaves went...and went...until they were almost black. We ended up just hollowing the bread out of the center. Yummy!

Hi Melissa this is Marci (Marshall) McCune your seminary council buddy. Your kids are so cute and I can't believe that we can both live in Cache Valley and see each other once 2 years ago. I absolutely love your hair cute like that.

Mitch just said, "Wendy, you need to bake bread." Then I read all of the blog and now I am not really sure I want the undertaking. I how did you other loaves turn out?

I made a different recipe this week and it turned out a lot better! It still had to cook for way longer than the recipe said, but the outside didn't go so dark. I also used a few cups of white flour because I didn't want to grind anymore wheat. I think that helped!

Way to go! You are braver than me. I have never made bread. I need to attempt it. You are a domestic woman. Keep up the good work :)

I can't make bread and rolls. I don't know what my problem is. They always turn out so hard. I just blame it on the recipe :)

I have finally mastered the art of rolls this past year. I've yet to master a good loaf of bread.....something I will have to remedy. Your bread looks delish!
