Easter

I know Easter was a while ago, but I had all these great pictures that I needed to post so we are going to re-visit it! In our family we celebrate the Easter Bunny coming on the Saturday before Easter Sunday-then focus on the True meaning of Easter on Sunday. The Easter bunny comes and leaves jelly beans all over the house on the floor, couch, windows, etc. and the baskets are waiting on the couch. Then we go over to Grandma and Grandpa Parrish's house for an Easter Egg hunt outside and to roll eggs down the hill. This year we did a few things different.Sweet little Emma knew exactly which basket was hers and took claim of her ball at once!
We had to help her with the ears and Dad had to introduce her to her new Doll

She wasn't so sure about the Ears, but to our surprise she wore them long enough to get some pictures!
As you can see Henry was pretty excited for the Easter Egg hunt- The snow as you can see had not melted yet so we had to limit the area for the hunt.
Hmmm...This tree grows candy! Henry needed A LOT of guidance during the hunt. (Hurry just grab the candy and run for more candy, Hurry)

He stopped to think a lot along the way...didn't get too much candy
Yeah the snow made the hunt very interesting-luckily the sun was shining so it wasn't too cold
Emma loved walking around trying to pick stuff up-the ground was a little bumpy though for her to do it on her own.
We even got in some sliding time during the hunt. Never mind the other kids were still getting candy- that stuff will rot your teeth anyway.

Henry got a little creative during the Easter Egg hunt and decided to try sliding down the hill!

We helped him out a bit and found him a sled, then all the cousins decided to go for a ride and we ended up just sledding that day instead of rolling Easter Eggs.
Maybe we will start a new Tradition-Sledding on Easter-

What do you think Henry?

You have some amazing pictures. That is too cute that Henry is in his own little world! For our hunt, some of the eggs were filled and some were empty, so Sarah went around shaking each one to be sure it had candy before she put it in her basket.
