Painted Toast
I have been getting pretty creative with Jell-o lately, and here are a few things that I came up with. Some ideas are better than others!
This toast is fun and tastes delicious! First you microwave a small amount of water, then add some jell-o, grab a new paint brush (or wash one with soap and water!) and start painting. After you are done with the painting, just pop it into a toaster or a toaster oven.
Some of the bread gets soggier than others. Mine was pretty dry after going through the toaster, but some of Henry’s masterpieces had to go through a few times and still weren’t dry, but didn’t taste gross.
I didn’t have a ton of different colors of Jell-o, so for some of them I added some food coloring. Also we used both sides of the bread-a picture on both sides.
Some colors turned out better than others. I am not sure the green was the most appetizing color.
Enjoy as a piece of toast, or make a delicious sandwich. Also the real recipe for this is to just use a little bit of milk and some food coloring. It works great too, I am just trying to use jell-o and it added some extra flavor in there!
We tried a little Jell-o art as well. We should have added a little food coloring so the colors were different. Or I should have bought some blue or green Jell-o. This is fun because it dries shiny and it smells good. It is a little sticky though if they spill it during the process.
We also tried coloring eggs, because Henry saw a family home video on Easter and became obsessed with wanting to color eggs. They were all different colors, but turned out the same. Also they were all sticky when they started to dry so I just rinsed off. That is why they are the same colors. This was not a good idea, I wouldn’t suggest doing this-just thought I would let you know all the fun we had with Jell-o. Thanks Matt. I think this is the end of the Jell-o craze!

I was NOT expecting painted toast. I don't think people ever are ;)
Good work... and it looks like all your photos were "clickable" for the larger version. Nice
I love the pic with Henry eating his jello toast. You are quite the Jello Jedi Master!
Yay! It looks like we will still be in the same ward... Can I get a Whoot Whoot!
You are such a fun Mom. We will have to try that toast. Great pics! ( I'll leave a note for Jessica on her blog)
