Puttin the Fun in Friday!

Space Play dough
My sister is recovering from her fall, so I went over to help watch her kids and we made some fun play dough. I know that I have already posted my play dough recipe, but it is the best one that I have found, so we made it a little different to spice things up. Get excited.

Here is the crew. Mason, Henry, McKayla and Mariah

Salt Dough (I make this in the Bosch)

2 cups Flour

1 Cup Salt

4 tsp cream of tarter(mix with bread hook)

2 Cups boiling water

2 TBS cooking oil

Food coloring(I actually wait until after then mix it in so that I can split it into several balls and add different colors it is a bit more messy though)

Bring water to a boil then add oil and food coloring (if you want)Mix together.

That is for normal play dough, but it you are interested in making space play dough. Add some black food coloring to the water and some silver sparkles to the dry ingredients (or what ever color you want) Mine didn't come out as black as I had hoped, so I would suggest dying it a dark color first then adding the black. My sister adds purple kool aide to get a dark purple color and a yummy smell, then you could add the black.

Here is Henry's space gun with his space play dough. We had a good time making rockets and playing aliens as well.

Yes, I finally get to use my bread hook. Is that sad that it is for play dough?

Awesome posts. Your summer looks like it was amazing! You have a very good camera and take amazing pics. You need to teach me after talking J.R. into getting me one for my bday ;) Slippery slide looks like a blast!
