Due to weather we had to change our plans at the last minute and skip Christmas Eve with my family and go to Idaho early. On our way we stopped by my parent’s house to open our presents early.
Henry loved his car tracks, books, and especially candy!
Emma just wanted to stay all day and read stories with Grandpa. She also loved her shopping cart, doll, and food. We loved all the presents that we got and had fun spending a few minutes playing with presents before the long drive.
Henry was so excited to see his twin cousins-Abigail and Saylor and Emma couldn’t get enough of them either. She was sweet and shared her new doll and everything.
Brittney and Kenton (engaged) and Tina sitting around as we read from the scriptures.
Henry and Emma each got to open a present-pajamas, which Henry was sorely disappointed with and Emma was ecstatic about! Funny the difference.
This is late at night after Santa Claus had come. Santa brought Emma the kitchen and Henry the Buzz sitting in the sink. (pretty fair right?)
Jon and I decided to go all out this year in the pajama department. We picked up these bad boys while we were in California. Yeah Jon’s were a little too small, but it is all for the cause right? (Jon told me that I have to make my blog private after this! I wish I could share other pictures, but I guess this will have to do.)
I LOVE this picture. They were both just so cute unwrapping their presents and so excited with what they got. It was just a really fun age for both of them.
Jon’s sister Tina helping to get something out of the package. I hate packaging and batteries I decided. We bought like 5 packs of batteries and still ran out!
Santa gave Emma this My little pony more for nostalgia than anything else. She does like it though.
We had two waves of present opening. One in the morning with Henry and Emma and then the next one about 1:30 pm with everyone else. I don’t know about you, but I am NOT good at waiting that long to open my presents! It was killing me. Jon just has a patient family. We had a Ton of people there during this shift. Jon’s little brother got married two days after so we had 8 of his in-law’s join in on the fun.
Emma opening something from Grandma and Grandpa
Henry got star station from us. It has microphones and a camera so that you can watch yourself sing on the TV. It is pretty fun-even some of the adults got in on it. We had a great Christmas full of lots and lots of great presents and family.
Each year Jon’s family puts together humanitarian new born kits to send off. It is always a neat experience and helps relieve a little guilt from all the present getting!
Just a bonus picture I am adding in honor of Joe and Marilyn who stole my camera and had a little fun. Oh you guys are so in love.
