Snow Day!

Henry begs to go out in the snow almost all the time.  Emma thinks she wants to, but this is usually about as far as she gets.

She did get her own hat on and eventually gloves.  Then she stands by the window and watches Henry play usually.

This is one of the cute neighbor girls that Henry likes to play with.  Sometimes though I don’t feel like going outside, so I bring outside in.

For all of you who liked my “puttin the Fun in Friday” this is it for the past few months.  If it is too cold outside, or I just don’t want to go out, I bring the snow inside.  I just fill my bath tub with buckets of snow and give Henry some cars, shovels, cups, sand toys etc. and let him play.  Usually I just lay a towel at one end and put the snow on the other so he doesn’t even have to wear shoes, but today he insisted on wearing snow clothes.  He wanted to sit in the snow!IMG_3963

I also give him a water bottle filled with colored water to spray at the snow.  This is is favorite part.  You can see Emma’s legs in this picture-she played for about 5 minutes and wanted to get out.  She still doesn’t LOVE the snow.

We made an awesome snow castle that Henry sprayed Green.  I have been doing this for Henry for the past three years and he has loved it at every stage.  I actually quite enjoy it too-playing with snow, but staying warm-pretty fun.
