Decorating the Tree

Jon had a lot of fun with the camera this year as we decorated the tree. I am not sure if he even hung an ornament, he was so set on getting that magical picture. He knows how to make me happy. ha! He got some fun pictures- Henry loved hanging the ornaments and Emma even got a few to stay. It was a magical night.

Emma just kept saying “pretty, pretty lights”

Henry put all the ones he likes close to the bottom so he could “reach” them. He likes the sail boat I got from Camp Vega, and the bear with trout. Go figure.

Henry pretending to be tired from decorating. That or tired of taking pictures.

My favorite thing about the Christmas tree is the way the light makes the room feel. I could just sit around forever staring at the tree.

Just thought I would throw in some crazy ones for your viewing pleasure. Jon was trying to get creative and take the pictures through the tree and decorations. The one of me is through the center of a dried orange. See below.IMG_3756

Some of you may recognize these tree decorations. I have had them since my college days. Some of my roommates and I dried oranges to hang on our tree(I was working at Jamba) and now we pull them out every year. I can’t believe they have lasted this long!

A face only a mother could love. Jon told Henry to make a mad face for the camera, but actually he makes this face quite often! He has a face full of expression!

Emma waiting for me to put on her pajamas. Laying under the Christmas tree it is the best spot.

Almost ready for bed after singing Christmas Songs around the tree.

Great pictures! I completely agree about the feeling a Christmas tree brings to a room. I don't want to take mine down! Maybe I'll leave it up until March like we did in college.
